At least 12 people were killed and about 30 sustained injuries as an explosives-laden car detonated near Kohat bus stand on Kohat Road in Peshawar, police said. According to Bomb Disposal Squad, about 45 kilograms explosives were used in a car parked near the bus stand. The bomb left a crater on the site. More than 15 vehicles parked in the parking stand were destroyed as a result of the explosion. The deceased and injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. The doctors at the Lady Reading Hospital said that they received 12 bodies and 30 injured persons. Rescue operation was underway. Police had cordoned off the area and started search operation. Two suspects were also arrested from the site.
