Restoration of Bahawalpur province demanded by Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi

Quaid Bahawalpur National Awami Party (BNAP) Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi has said that restoration of former Bahawalpur province was the 41-year-old demand of 12.5 million inhabitants of this region. If the rulers have any sort of reservations they should hold referendum and will see the stunning fact of more than ninety percent people vote in favour of the restoration. 
He expressed the views while talking to different delegations belonged to Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar districts before leaving for Lahore here the other day. Prince Bahawal Abbas Khan Abbasi and BNAP President Farooq Azam Malik were also present on the occasion. Nawab Salahuddin categorically stated that Bahawalpur would never become part of Saraiki province. “We will never allow rulers to fulfil their vested interest.” He told the visitors that the BNAP leadership was mulling to launch a protest movement for the restoration of Bahawalpur province. He stated that he want to keep this movement peaceful but cautioned to give a call of wheel-jam strike in Bahawalpur region, if rulers did not pay heed to the genuine demand of Bahawalpuries.Nawab Salahuddin informed the visiting dignarities that he would visit Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan districts in the current month and would address public meetings to drum up support for the cause.
