Two people were killed and as many injured when a blast occurred at a railway track in Quetta’s outskirts in Saryab road, Express News reported.
According to police, some miscreants had planted explosives along railway track in Haqabad area, Saryab road which exploded with a huge blast, ripping apart three-foot long railway track. Two people, Muhammad Mutalib and Sher Ahmed were injured and taken to a hospital where they succumbed to their wounds. Two more injured were also brought to the hospital.
After the incident, staff of rescue and emergency services as well as personnel of law enforcing agencies reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
The train services between Punjab and Sindh has been suspended due to the damage to the railway track. The concerned administration is taking the necessary measures to repair the track.
