A Hindu trader was kidnapped along with his driver and two labourers in Ferozabad area, some 30 kilometres away from Khuzdar district, on Thursday. According to police, the trader, identified as Dr Ashok Kumar, was on his way to Naal from Khuzdar in his pickup when a group of armed men intercepted him and kidnapped the all four people at gunpoint. Talking to Express News 24/7, Tehsildar Hameedullah said, that Dr Ashok was visiting Naal for business purpose when he was kidnapped along with his driver and two other labourers. The two labourers, identified as, Muhammad Azam, and Muhammad Yamin, who were later released in Wadh area. “The driver, Azad Khan, and Dr Ashok Kumar are still in the captivity of kidnappers,” Hameedullah said, adding that it could be a case of kidnapping for ransom. He said Dr Ashok Kumar is a resident of Hyderabad, and trades in marble. The case has been registered.
