Veena Malik was detained at the Mumbai airport on Wednesday for evasion of customs duty, according to news reports published in Indian media. Veena, a Pakistani national, was reportedly found to be carrying undeclared dutiable goods worth `40,000 to `50,000. Reports said the actress was let off after paying a fine of `10,000. Veena is the second Pakistani artiste to have been penalised. Earlier this year, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was detained for carrying unaccounted foreign currency while leaving Mumbai.
