A Pakistani family of a convict in drug related case in China on Friday appealed to the authorities there to commute his death sentence into life imprisonment on humanitarian grounds.
Addressing a Press conference, the convict’s father, Zarghoon Shah and Tasneem Fatima, a relative, claimed that Zahid Hussain was not found directly involved in the drug trafficking case or selling of the contraband.
Zahid Hussain was found guilty by a Chinese court of drug trafficking offence and was awarded the Capital Punishment. He would be hanged on September 21. They have asked the Pakistani Government to play its role in this regard.
