JUI chief Maulana Fazal Rahman has said ANP government will not be allowed to close religious seminaries in Malakand division therefore threats to seminaries should be stopped as terrifying and threatening the administrators of religious seminaries is illegal and against the constitution.
Obscenity and vulgarity are being promoted in the province in the name of culture while religious seminaries are being threatened to close down.
This behavior will not be tolerated and the forces that want to damage the Islamic and Pukhtun culture in the province will not be allowed to play their game, Maulana said while briefing media after addressing the provincial council of the JUI Khyber Pukhtunkhwa on Thursday.
In Malakand division, Maulana said dance and music parties and other vulgarities were being promoted under official patronage but added JUI would not allow such activities in the name of culture.
Army being an institution will have to protect the Pakistani culture instead of patronizing violators of this culture, Maulana said and strongly criticized the ANP which he said is promoting ‘vulgarity’.
