Several people have been killed and injured in airstrikes and shelling by the Republican Guard forces in southernYemen, reports say. Local reports indicate that the Thursday attacks also destroyed a number of houses in Arhab village. The explosions were so loud that they could be heard in the capital Sana'a, according to the reports. Meanwhile, Yemeni tribesmen took control of a camp occupied by the regime forces near the capital. On Wednesday, at least four demonstrators sustained injuries in an attack by forces loyal to Yemen's Ali Abdullah Saleh on a protest march in the southern city of Ibb. The regime forces also opened fire on protesters in Ra'da town in al-Baida province. Several government officials have defected to the opposition in al-Baida province
