A man reportedly seeking justice vainly for three hectic years from the Supreme Court, tried to self-immolate himself, in the Supreme Court’s premises on Monday, but was saved by security personnel.
As per details, Rajanpur district’s Asad Munir has been reportedly approaching the Supreme Court since past three years, and was a police driver by profession, who had married twice; his second wife, a cousin of SHO, Rajanpur.
It has been alleged that the said Rajanpur SHO, misusing his official powers, forced Asad to sign divorce papers at gunpoint in Thana and also forced the hapless victim out of his official job.
Despite the fact that even the family court ruled in Asad’s favor, yet the SHO used his official clout there as well, and refused to abide by the court decision.
The victim who despite his severe lower body burns, was saved due to the timely action of the security personnel, bemoaned that he was struggling for justice since past four years.
