Peoples Doctor Forum Sindh President Dr Karim Khawaja said the blood banks were set up in all the districts of Sindh province from June 21 to June 23 to mark the 58th birthday of PPP’s former chairperson Benazir Bhutto in which leaders, workers and people from different walks of life donated blood.
He said last year PPP gathered approximately 13,800 bottles but this year the collection was much higher.
“The blood collected is given to those Pak army officials, which receive injuries during the fight against terrorism”, he added.
