At least five NATO oil tankers caught fire on Tuesday after an explosion near Afghan border, but there were no casualties, officials said.
According to officials, an explosion occurred in the parking area where the tankers were parked in the Torkham area of the troubled Khyber tribal region near the Afghan border which resulted blazing of five tankers and damage to few others.
Most supplies and equipment required by foreign troops in Afghanistan pass through this rout and militants frequently launch attacks on NATO supplies across northwestern Pakistan and the lawless tribal belt.
