At least 13 persons including women and children were killed and seven others injured when a passenger bus plunged into a ravine here in Chaman on Monday.
According to Levies sources a Chaman bound passenger bus coming from Quetta, fell into a thousands of feet deep gorge while negotiating a sharp turn at Kozak Top.
As a result of accident 13 people were killed while seven others sustained injuries.
Levies personnel reached the scene soon after the accident and started rescue operation. However due to vertical steep and depth of the gorge they had to face hardships in pulling out the bodies and injured from the ravine.
The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman for medico legal requirements.
According to the injured passengers the accident took place due to over speeding and reckless driving. They said the driver due to over speeding lost the control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp turn.
