Balochistan observes shutter-down strike

The Pashtunkhwa Awami Party (PAP) has called for shutter-down strike in the province today (Saturday). The strike is being observed as the federal budget has not allocated any funds for power transmission line from Dera Ismail (DI) Khan to Zhob, Geo News reported.

Many cities including Quetta, Zhob, Kachlaak, Pasheen, Chaman and Loralai are observing strike.

In Quetta, there was less traffic on roads and less attendance was observed in schools and offices.

Incidents of tyre burning were reported in some areas whereas some vehicles were also damaged. Police has arrested eight persons for being involved in such crimes.
