MULTAN,June 7th:At least twelve member of a family including five minors were killed in a road accident near Pir Mahal (Toba Tek Singh district)on Tuesday when a car and air conditioned coach collided head on, Police said. Police said that A family of Khanewal was returning after attending a funeral rites of their relative.As it reached near Pir Mahal some 130 km north-east of Multan a speedy coach collided head on in a bid to save it from a heap of stones lying on the road.Resultantly 12 persons of family including two male ,four women and a teenager girl and five kids died on the spot.They were identified as Muhammad Ashraf of Chak No.80-15-L,his brother Rustam, mother Mrs.Ahmed Ali, Irshad Bibi wife of Muhammad Ashfaq, Mudassar Ashfaq(7) Aafia Ashfaq (11)Riaz Bibi wife of Rustam Ali , Tasawar son of Yasin(11)Sadaf D/O Yasin (14) Shehzadi D/O Allah Yar, Bushra Bibi (2),Kainat(7).Police said that the ill-fated family was coming to Khanewal from Jaranwala's village-71-GB in a car No.8691-LHM as they reached near Zakirabad, a Faisalabad bound AC coach No.6044-LZ coming from opposite direction hit the car in a bid to save its vehicle from a heap of stones.Police said that eleven member died on the spot while an infant Kainat succumbed to injuries in Toba Tek Singh Hospital.
