PAK-US ties are too valuable to be sacrificed- John Kerry

US Senator John Kerry has said that the relationship between Pakistan and United States is too valuable to be sacrificed.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the US Senator stressed the need to re-build ties between the two countries.
Stressing the point, he said steps needed to be taken to re-build relations with the US.
Senator Kerry said, “The bonds that tie US and Pakistan are very strong,” adding that Pakistan and the US are committed to each other.
“Pakistan is committed to re-build ties with the US,” he said.
Senator John Kerry said that he was in Pakistan to re-build trust.
Talking about the operation that killed Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, Kerry said, “I’m not here to apologise for the Abbottabad operation.”
He said that the Abbottabad operation was not discussed with anyone and that even US officials did not know the details till the last minute and no chances could have been taken regarding that.
He said that Osama bin Laden was responsible for thousands of deaths, adding that he escaped from Tora Bora in Afghanistan.
On Pakistan’s stance the US Senator said that every nation takes its sovereignty seriously.
Kerry said that the US and Pakistan are strategic allies against terrorism and extremism and that there is too much at stake as both countries have sacrificed a lot.
He said, "US and Pakistan are partners against a common enemy."
Kerry said that the US understands Pakistan’s position on the Abbottabad operation.
Senator Kerry said that Pakistan’s sovereignty has been violated by militants for years.
