Sources said that Elite Force vehicle with six personnel was on its way to Lahore via Okara to arrest criminals when a reckless driven speedy truck hit their vehicle in 39-D Town.
As a result of accident three Elite Force personnel identified as ASI Rizwan, Constables Muhammad and Jamil were killed on the spot while three constables Basharat, Babar and Asim Muneer sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Okara where Constable Basharat succumbed to his wounds. According to hospital sources condition of other two injured personnel was also serious.
Sources said that Elite Force vehicle was completely destroyed in the collision and the bodies were recovered after cutting the body of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the truck driver fled away from the scene leaving the vehicle at the scene. The police took the truck into its custody and have started search for the driver responsible for the accident.
