Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, during his recent meetings with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and MQM chief Altaf Hussain in London, expressed his concern over the idea of setting up of ‘technocrats’ government’ in the country.
Reliable sources said that Prime Minister Gilani in these meetings apprised these leaders that in a democratic system after the ruling party there existed a chance for the opposition and allied parties to form the government.
It may be noted that President Zardari in his address at Naudero on April 3 in connection with the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, had mentioned about the establishment of a technocrats’ government in the country.
Sources said that Prime Minister Gilani had also one on one meeting with Nawaz Sharif in London; however he could not succeed to muster required assurances and support from Nawaz Sharif on certain issues.
