Desecration of Holy Quran in Florida church by Pastor Wayne Sapp

The burning of Holy Quran was carried out by pastor Wayne Sapp under the supervision of Terry Jones. The jury deliberated for about eight minutes. The book burned for around 10 minutes while some onlookers posed for photos. This time, Jones said he had been “trying to give the Muslim world an opportunity to defend their book,” but did not receive any answer. He said he felt that he couldn’t have a real trial without a real punishment. The event was open to the public, but fewer than 30 people attended. The controversial American pastor, Terry Jones, Monday oversaw the desecration of a copy of the Holy Quran at his small Florida church after the Islamic revered book was put on trial, found guilty and condemned for execution, according to media reports. Last fall, Jones who heads a church of 50 followers, stoked international alarm with his claim he would light a bonfire with the Holy Quran on the anniversary of September 11th. He was eventually talked out of the action but not before President Barack Obama, the State Department, the FBI, the Pentagon and a stampede of interfaith voices cried out against his move. The report said about 30 people were present at a Sunday mock trial of the Holy Quran - while a real copy sat soaking in kerosene until another pastor, Jones’ colleague Wayne Sapp, lit the flames with a barbecue lighter. He said he felt that he couldn’t have a real trial without a real punishment. The event was open to the public, but fewer than 30 people attended. Condemning the sacrilegious burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by devilish American pastor Terry Jones, Jamaat-ud-Dawa ameer Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on Monday called it a conspiracy of the zionists and the crusaders working in collusion to disrupt peace and order in the world.
Hafiz Saeed urged the Muslim world to unite against the intense sacrilegious act of the controversial pastor who, he said, acted at the behest of the US government and military. He called upon the government of Pakistan to take the initiative of mobilising all Muslim states to devise a collective strategy on the platform of the OIC.
In a statement, the Dawa chief said the UN Security Council and other international organisations have double standards for Muslims. On the one hand they trumpet religious tolerance and coexistence, but on the other, they turn a blind eye to such blatant extremism. He said Pakistan must not be complacent in the face of such fanaticism carried out under the Obama administration.
Separately, addressing a Jihad Conference in Jamia Masjid, Qadisiya Town, the Dawa chief said America, India and Israel are scared of Jihad. The Muslim must understand that Jihad is the key to their survival.
