City bus service and van collision claimed nine lives in Multan

MULTAN: Nine passengers, including three from a family, were killed and 12 others injured as a van they were riding, collided with a bus near Ghaziwala on Shujabad road, some 28 kilometres away from Multan on Thursday. SHO Muzaffarabad police station, Rana Farooq, told reporters that a van was on its way from Jalalpur Pirwala to Multan when it collided with a city transport bus that was on its way to Shujabad from Multan. The collision left nine passengers, including three kids, two women and the driver dead on the spot. Three of the nine dead passengers hailed from a family including Saima, her seven-month old son Jawwad and three-year-old daughter Sadaf.
