The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared individuals with dual nationalities ineligible to take part in elections and has recommended that the government should pass legislation in this regard; South Punjab News  reported here on Monday.A meeting headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Retd) Hamid Ali Mirza passed a resolution against the individuals with dual nationality stating that they could not take part in elections to become members of the parliament.
The election commission also dismissed the reference submitted by Maulvi Iqbal Haider which sought to declare ANP Senators Haji Adeel and Zahid Khan ineligible.
