More than 30 former ministers and members of the federal and provincial assemblies joined the ranks of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Monday.
Former federal minister Jehangir Tareen, Awais Khan Leghari, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Dr GG Jamal, Sikander Khan Bosan, Ghulam Sarwar Cheema, Ishaaq Khan Khakwani and many others formally announced their decision at the Islamabad Press Club, along with PTI chief Imran Khan.
Senator Jamal Khan Leghari and Senator Sadia Abbasi have also joined PTI.
While speaking to media, the PTI chief said that politicians weary of traditional politics have joined his party and that the PTI will gain advantage from their experience.
Newcomers to PTI
Recently former Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) leader, Shabbir Jokhio along with supporters from Memon Goth in Gadap Town crossed over to PTI. The move came after several meetings with the PTI leadership in Sindh.
Air Marshal (Retd) Asghar Khan, who was heading Pakistan Tehrik-e-Istaqlal, also joined the PTI at a joint news conference with the PTI Chairman.
