Bhimber (Kashmir)At least 5 persons were killed and 7 injured in a firing incident at district court premises Thursday.
Some handcuffed accused persons were brought for their presentation in district court Thursday. As soon as they reached the court, some unknown armed persons opened indiscriminate firing killing five persons on the spot and injuring 7 persons. The injured were shifted to hospital immediately.
The attackers made good escape from the scene. Those who were killed included 2 prisoners and 3 passers by. The victims are stated to be residents of Tehsil Harnala.
Police said the incident could be outcome of some old enmity. However police had started search operation to nab the culprits.
