Two policemen were killed and seven others injured in a remote controlled improvised explosive device (IED) blast here in Peshawar late Sunday night.
According to police, unknown miscreants had planted a remote controlled device by roadside near Urmar Camp.
As the police mobile reached the scene, militants blasted the device with the help of remote control.
As a result of explosion, two policemen were killed on the spot while seven others sustained injuries.
Heavy contingent of police reached the scene of the incident and shifted the injured cops to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH).
The security forces cordoned off the area after the blast and launched search operation but no arrest has been made.
