Complete shutterdown was observed in Kalabagh and Wan Bhachran against Mianwali incident.Earlier, Tehrik-e-Haqooq Mianwali had staged a protest the other day and launched a march, demanding jobs for locals in Chashma Power Plant and a fair share of electricity for Mianwal from the plant.
Marchers went on crossing barricades set by law enforcement. Police forcibly tried to stop them, resulting in a clash. The DCO was injured in stone-pelting by protestors, and four protestors were killed.
On the other hand, police conducted raids to arrest the leaders of Tehrik-e-Haqooq Mianwali. However the Water and Power Secretary said that the provincial government, not the federal government had exempted Mianwali from load shedding.
Police said they were unaware of any deal between protesters and the government regarding exempting Mianwali from load shedding and releasing protesters.
