PMl-Q leader Moonis Elahi sent to camp jail on judicial remand in NICL case

A local court of Lahore Friday sent Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Moonis Elahi to a camp jail on 14-day judicial remand in NICL scam, Court official said.

Moonis Elahi was produced before the court of Judicial Magistrate, Muhammad Irfan Basra on completion of 14-day period of physical remand.

FIA officials informed the court of completion of the physical remand and that now the defendant may be sent to jail.

Counsel of the defendant argued that the prison will be a dangerous place for Moonis Elahi and therefore he may be detained in a rest house.

The court sought a response in this regard from the Punjab government and upon getting permission Moonis Elahi was sent to a rest house situated in Cantt area which was declared a sub jail.
