Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Gen. (Retd.) Nadeem Ahmed has tendered his resignation as a result of failure with regard to the implementation of NDMA Act,Wednesday.According to sources, Gen. Nadeem had submitted his resignation to the government on March 11.Gen. Nadeem had expressed his reservations on non-implementation of NDMA Act. He was of the opinion that presence of NDMA makes the existence redundant of NIRRA, IRRA, PIRRA and ERC, on which significant national resources were being wasted, sources said. The government failed to address his reservations and this led Gen. Nadeem tender his resignation as Chairman NDMA.
