Former Federal minister for Hajj & religious affairs minister Allama Hamid Saeed Kazmi who was in the custody of the FIA in relation to the Hajj corruption case was sent to jail on a 14-day-long judicial remand on Wednesday, Officially stated here on Wednesday.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) authorities produced Kazmi before a court in Islamabad where senior civil judge Aslam Gondal sent the former minister to jail on a 14-day remand.
On March 15, the FIA had arrested Kazmi after a court cancelled his pre-arrest bail in the case relating to his alleged corruption in arranging residential accommodation for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia last year.
